The Best of Omar Sarsam

Where? WM Hall St. Anton, Hannes-Schneider-Weg 11, 6580 St. Anton am Arlberg

When? 04.04.2025 from 8 p.m. (entry from 7 p.m. to 7.55 p.m.)

Omar Sarsam is used to bright lights - both as a paediatric surgeon in the operating room and as a cabaret artist in the spotlight.

In his previous cabaret programmes “Diagnose:Arzt”, “HERZALARM”, “SONDERKLASSE”, as well as the Advent programme “Oh Du Andere”, he made his audience laugh with his cheerfully relaxed, multi-faceted and musical performances.

Tonight, there will be a “best of” from these pieces.

He claims to have Croatian, Iraqi and Bulgarian roots with Czech influences, which is why he describes himself as a “true Viennese”.

He first appeared on the cabaret stage in 2004 in the improv show “Hands Up” at the Wiener Kabarett Niedermair. Together with Marc Bernhuber, he landed the hit “Disco, Disco, Party, Party” with almost 16 trillion clicks on YouTube.

He masters more instruments than he can carry, but wants to change that and is therefore currently undergoing muscle-building training. With his humorous medical content, he wants to take away people’s fear of doctors on the one hand, and doctors’ fear of people on the other.

Omar Sarsam regularly appears on TV programmes such as “Was gibt es Neues” or “Kabarettgipfel” as well as the children’s TV show “Das Wunder Du” on ORF and hosted the Puls 4 format “Comedy Grenzgänger” in 2019.

Since being awarded the Salzburger Stier in 2022, he has been an integral part of the Austrian cabaret scene.

Omar Sarsam is married and has at least two children.

The show will be held in German.
