We love our families, our nature, our businesses, our employees, and what we do – and we live by these values …
It’s been nearly two years since we joined forces to work together on our quality of life and make a positive impact on our village. Now, it’s time to reflect and address any misunderstandings.
NO, we’re not opposed to party tourism. However, we’ve witnessed a growing excess in our society, which has also affected our village. At certain times of the year, some partygoers behave in such an extreme way that, in our view, it severely impacts both our reputation as a ski destination and our overall quality of life.
With our association, we aim to appeal to those guests who share our mindset and understand the importance of balance. They appreciate us as hosts and respect what we’ve so carefully built. We communicate clearly with our guests about what we expect from them and what they can expect from us. After two winter seasons of this honest communication, we’re pleased to say: The way we live our values is clearly reflected in the behaviour of our guests. Quality Hosts leads to Quality Guests.
Alongside this positive effect, the support within the group and the sense of community are the most important outcomes of our association’s formation. We can see that it’s better when we work together – with lots of fun and great results. We support one another with resources and ideas, inspire each other, exchange experiences, and organise both small and large events for locals and guests. We can confidently say: Our personal quality of life has improved through this collaboration.
One of our core values is sustainability. For us, sustainability doesn’t just mean conserving our resources, but also ensuring that future generations will be passionate about and meaningfully continue running our businesses.
We’re aware that values like respect, community, sustainability, honesty, transparency, and connection are not new, and many of you already live these values every day. By writing these values down as goals, we create a binding basis on which we can orient and live our collective actions, and more easily build up our community.
Like many of you, we also ask ourselves: Is the Stanzertal valley tourism region prepared for the future? Our answer: No, if we maintain the status quo. Yes, if we embrace both proven and new paths together. We believe that value-driven, quality-focused communities will have a brighter future than individuals working alone. That’s why we welcome anyone who wants to work together for the future of our valley.
We look forward to constructive discussions, ideas, and feedback. We want to build bridges for a better tomorrow. So, why not work together towards the same goal: to create an attractive holiday destination for our guests, a caring work environment for employees, and a liveable region for all of us. Because from Strengen to St. Christoph, we love what we have.
